Aerial Views

There’s no better way to see Chicago than from the top. Experience the feeling of floating amidst spectacular 360-degree views of the Chicago skyline at Skydeck, located on the 99th floor of the famous Willis Tower—the tallest building in Chicago and second tallest in all of North America. This stunning landmark captures the highest aerial view of the city and is not to be missed.

If you’re content to hover a little closer to the ground, check out one of the Loop’s myriad rooftop bars. Enjoy jaw-dropping views and authentic Chicago food and drink at spots like ROOF on theWit, Cindy’s, Raised, AIRE, and Cerise.

Make dinner plans

The historic Berghoff Restaurant and Adams Street Brewery reopens July 12 with Berghoff Classic Entrees, Hand-Carved sandwiches, and a little bit of everything in between available. The brewery is up and running with exciting new styles and rotating seasonal favorites. From tank to tap, there is a little something for everyone! Make your reservation Tuesday-Saturday from noon-7 p.m., excluding Monday, July 12.

Shop ’til you drop

State Street, “that great street,” has been Chicago’s most famous retail corridor for more than 100 years. If you’re a shopaholic, work your way up and down the street for all your needs: clothing, shoes, accessories, bath and body, technology, books—you name it, State Street’s got it. Must-see stores include the flagship Macy’s, with its breathtaking Tiffany dome ceiling, elaborate water features, and signature clocks on the corners of the building from the days of Marshall Fields. Architecture buffs should definitely stop at Target, situated in the Sullivan Center, so named for the building’s famous architect Louis Sullivan. Those looking to stay, shop, eat and play need not look further than Block 37. Find all your shopping options here
