Intergallactic Lovers or nah... by Barrett Keithley was painted live during Chicago Loop Alliance’s ACTIVATE: Playground event in June 2017.
It was curated by Missy Perkins and John Ibarra. While painting this mural, the artist pondered the question, “Can you have a person embody the universal truth of love, or nah…?” which later inspired the title of the piece. This piece was projection mapped by multimedia artist Vincent Naples in 2018 as part of another ACTIVATE event. Barrett Keithley is a Chicago-based artist and co-founder of Paint the City. He uses abstract and flat characters to build stories and heal the city through art.
