During the month of December, you can immerse yourself in the splendor of a Victorian Christmas as it was celebrated by the city’s social elite at the turn of the 20th century.
Experience the holiday season Gilded Age style at Glessner House. This National Historic Landmark home is fully decorated for the holidays, including a ten-foot tree filled with vintage ornaments, and learn how the family celebrated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy Christmas songs played on Mrs. Glessner’s Steinway piano, take home traditional Glessner family holiday recipes, and enjoy hot cider and cookies after the one-hour tour.
