CAC Live: Beaux-Arts Tour

Beaux-Arts style architecture can be found everywhere you turn in Chicago's Loop. Join Chicago Architecture Center docent Mike McMains on April 28 or May 3 as he highlights several impressive Beaux-Arts buildings on this 45-minute live, virtual tour.

The World’s Columbian Exposition was one of the most influential events in Chicago’s history, and its legacy is felt all over the city, especially through Beaux-Arts architecture. This 45-minute streaming tour describes the influences of the Beaux-Arts style, defines its characteristics and profiles several wonderful buildings from the late-19th and early-20th centuries and their amazing architects.


Tickets are $8 for non-members, free with registration fee for CAC members
