2birds One Stone by Killabunz and Jose Quezada was painted live during Chicago Loop Alliance’s ACTIVATE: Playground event in June 2017.
The piece depicts two birds, one mechanical and one not, with a magical stone in the middle. It draws the audience in to consider themes of nature, the manmade environment, life, and death. Jose Quezada and Killabunz are both Chicago-based tattoo artists and painters whose work largely features nature and animals.
