Chicago Loop Alliance is proud to present Re-ACTIVATE, a virtual fundraiser to support the Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation and the recovery of the Loop neighborhood. Live painting, compelling conversation, and celebrity guests await!
This event originally aired on december 3, 2020 and is now available to watch on-demand.
Although devastating in so many ways, the events of 2020 have offered the opportunity to see the Loop through a new lens. We have been inspired by the resiliency and creativity of the people who call the Loop home, and we have used this time to reconnect, reflect, and rethink what is important for our neighborhood.
Re-ACTIVATE offered guests a glimpse at some of the projects, programs, and people who have kept the Loop going, and those that will help us rebuild. And, like you've come to expect from us, we've got a few surprises in store that you won't want to miss...
FREE and open to the public, Re-ACTIVATE creates an opportunity for the entire Loop community to come together, which is more important now than ever.
Keynote presenter, Toni Griffin, founder and principal of urbanAC, Urban American City, a planning and design management practice in New York, as well as professor in practice at Harvard Graduate School of Design and director of the Just City Lab. She will join us for a conversation about strategies for rebuilding a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive Loop.
Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot will offer a brief update on the State of the City. Chicago Loop Alliance President & CEO, Michael Edwards, will discuss some of the organization’s plans for 2021. Special guest, Afrokilla, will create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Val Warner, Emmy Award-winning host of ABC7 Chicago's Windy City Live, will serve as the emcee.
