2022 Annual Meeting

300 key Chicago Loop stakeholders met for breakfast on March 24, 2022 at Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel to connect during this crucial time of recovery. Review the big announcements and plans for the Loop in 2022 here.

Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) and Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation's Annual Meeting gathered the Loop’s most influential business, civic, and cultural leaders to connect during this crucial time of economic recovery. Chicago Loop Alliance offered a recap of 2021; shared plans for 2022; and inducted the incoming slate of Board of Directors.

This year’s keynote speaker was Leon Walker, Managing Principal, DL3 Realty Advisors, who works with national and regional corporate stakeholders to make high-impact investments in Chicago’s neighborhoods. Mr. Walker, co-founder of the Chicago Emerging Minority Developer Initiative (CEMDI)  discussed how CEMDI is helping build the next generation of African American and Latinx real estate developers and why that is beneficial for the Loop. CEMDI was founded on the premise that a robust pool of minority developers active in Chicago is a critical component to building Black and Brown wealth, stemming population loss in the city of Chicago, and bringing innovative development projects to historically disinvested communities.
