What is a good life? A psychological perspective

What is a good life? Is it about feeling happy yourself? Or helping others even if it comes at the expense of your own happiness?

In this Think Better talk, Shige Oishi (University of Chicago) will explain what current research shows about these questions. He will outline three dimensions of a good life: happiness, meaning, and psychological richness. Oishi will share examples of how each dimension shapes decisions, relationships, and daily well being, showing how we can apply them to build a fuller and more authentic life at any age. The talk will help you think more clearly about what you value and what you want from your own life.
