Award-winning New York City Ballet principal dancer and choreographer Tiler Peck presents her dazzling love letter to dance, Turn It Out with Tiler Peck & Friends in Chicago for the first time!
After its sold-out world premiere in New York, celebrated season in London, and dates around the US, Peck brings some of today’s most exciting and innovative dance artists. Olivier Award Nominee and 2-time UK National Dance Awards winner, the program begins with The Barre Project, Blake Works II, a piece created for film with music by James Blake that marked the first creative partnership between Peck and choreographer William Forsythe. Peck’s Thousandth Orange, set to live music by Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw is next. Peck sought out West Coast legend Alonzo King to create the electric pas de deux, Swift Arrow, and the show closes with the New York City Center commission Time Spell, a collaboration between Peck and tap dance icon Michelle Dorrance, with Emmy-nominated Jillian Meyers and a powerhouse cast. Featuring performances by: Brinae Ali, Chun Wai Chan, Michelle Dorrance, KJ Takahashi, Christopher Grant, Lex Ishimoto, Brooklyn Mack, Aaron Marcellus, Roman Mejia, Jillian Meyers, Tiler Peck, Quinn Starner, Byron Tittle, and Kloe Walker.
