Chicago River Swim

The Chicago River Swim is an event created and managed by nonprofit A Long Swim, which reintroduces an open water swimming event to the Chicago River for the first time in a century.

The Chicago River Swim and A Long Swim support two primary beneficiaries, including world-class ALS research at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, and water safety lessons for Chicago children who are in underserved neighborhoods. To date, A Long Swim has raised more than $3 million for ALS research, and has funded swimming lessons for 4,000 Chicago children.
