Art on theMART: THINKING OF YOU. I MEAN ME. I MEAN YOU.

World-renowned conceptual artist Barbara Kruger headlines Art on theMART's first solo season

The projection series, in partnership with Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, expands on the Art Institute of Chicago’s presentation of THINKING OF YOU. I MEAN ME. I MEAN YOU., an in-depth look at four decades of Kruger’s practice. "Untitled (Questions), 1990/2021" will be shown nightly.

Kruger’s text and images address both the architecture and relational spaces in which the work is shown. In addition to the Art Institute of Chicago’s exhibition, Kruger will engage the surrounding cityscape, creating work for billboards, the Chicago Transit Authority, and Art on theMART, among other locations and organizations. This exhibition is organized by the Art Institute of Chicago, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Art on theMART can best be experienced from the jetty section of the Chicago Riverwalk on Wacker Drive between Wells Street and Franklin Street.
