CHICAGO—The Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation is pleased to announce that its 15th Annual Illumination Gala grossed more than $256,000. Funds raised will support public art projects and events in the Loop, including ACTIVATE, The Gateway, winter activations in the Pedway, State Street banner projects and more.

The Illumination Gala took place on Friday, Sept. 20, at the Hilton Chicago, featuring dinner, dancing, drinks, interactive dessert stations, photo booths and live music by Hey Jimmy. This year’s Illumination Award Honoree was Dean Lane, area general manager, The Palmer House and Hiltons of Chicago, for his dedication to Chicago Loop Alliance and his tireless efforts to serve the City of Chicago and its hospitality and tourism community. The Illumination Award highlights civic and community leaders who, through their ideas, leadership and counsel, have increased the experience and well-being of Loop businesses, residents and visitors.

Gala co-chairs were Colleen Spector, corporate sales, Southwest Airlines, and John Wells, general manager, Hilton Chicago. The Illumination Gala’s Presenting Sponsor was Pressure Washing Systems; its Cocktail Reception Sponsor was Streetplus; and its Program Book Sponsor was Bannerville USA.
