Chicago Loop Alliance’s first Sundays on State event of the year attracted visitors and Chicagoans of all ages from all over the city and beyond to the heart of the Loop when 113,362 people entered the event footprint between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on July 24. Over 200 activations filled State Street, nearly 80 percent of which featured underrepresented business owners. Based on preliminary qualitative and quantitative data, the program has once again accomplished its goals of accelerating the economic recovery; uniting the community; positively shaping the public perception of the Loop; and creating joy.
