Chicago Loop Alliance strives to advance the future of the Loop through economic development advocacy and initiatives, including:
- Implementing a Loop Arts District Caucus, gathering 90+ Loop arts organizations to galvanize the dynamic arts and culture scene
- Advocating for enhancements to the storefront economy along State Street, including grant submissions for the Department of Planning and Development’s Commercial Corridor Storefront Activation Program
- Producing quarterly economic performance reports delivered to CLA members and the Loop’s real estate community
- Coordinating nine destination marketing banner campaigns along State Street
- Completing an inventory of pedestrian infrastructure on State Street
- Facilitating the work of the Residential Committee to ensure the Loop is attractive and beneficial to residents
- Sponsoring programs like Hospitality Hires to assist job seekers with opportunities at downtown organizations
