Embark on a free downtown adventure through alleys and other off-the-beaten-path locations on this self-guided Loop Mural Walk, available now through July 4.
Featuring 21 murals by international household names as well as emerging artists, the Loop Mural Walk highlights a side of the Chicago Loop you have never seen before. Using a smartphone, choose "The Routes" below to follow turn-by-turn directions, or check out "The Murals" option to forge your own path to these masterful works of street art, many by artists of color whose perspectives and stories in these spaces are important to witness. While a few of the featured murals are prominent pieces you may already know, many others are more obscure, often left behind after Chicago Loop Alliance’s popular ACTIVATE alley events.
Get #BackInTheLoop safely with this free outdoor activity, and check out these exclusive deals from nearby Loop businesses while you’re here. Share your journey on social using #LoopMuralWalk for a chance to win a $100 gift card to The Dearborn.
Our urban landscape is ever-changing, and the impermanent nature of street art is part of its magic. Murals and route access are subject to change.
