"Make it Good" began as an interactive mural where attendees stood in front of prompts to make their own Instagram art.
Make it Good by Shawnimals was painted live during Chicago Loop Alliance’s ACTIVATE: Finale event in September 2019. This piece was commissioned and curated by Clif Bar & Company. During the event, it was an interactive mural where attendees could stand in front of questions and prompts to make their own Instagram art. Days later, it was painted over to create its current and final version, which depicts a series of colorful and happy characters encouraging participants to “make it good.” According to Shawnimals, “a diverse community is important, especially if we can work toward common goals.” Shawnimals strives to showcase these ideals through his vibrant and energetic murals.
