Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza

Returning to Daley Plaza, Christkindlmarket Chicago brings a cherished German and European tradition to Chicago. The city's largest open-air Christmas festival features gifts, food and holiday cheer.

November 17 - December 24, 2023

Chicago's most beloved holiday tradition will take place at THREE locations in 2022, starting November 17. Admission is free and festivities are family-friendly, with live entertainment, food, and artisan vendors from Germany and all around the world!

Visitors will be able to buy authentic food and beverages, including Bratwurst and Strudel as well as imported German mulled wine. The market is the perfect place to get the holiday shopping done, among the artisan products are glass-blown ornaments. The Christkindlmarket Chicago is the only location that offers reservations for receptions in the heated Timber Tent-- the perfect opportunity for a holiday company party or birthday celebration with friends.

Rooted in the German tradition, the Christkindlmarket is well known for its traditional candy cane striped wooden huts, festive shopping options, international delicacies, hot spiced wine (Glühwein), fine German beers, hand-crafted ornaments, and family fun.

Recognized by Travel & Leisure Magazine, USA Today, TripAdvisor, and 10Best as one of the best holiday markets in the world, the Christkindlmarket Chicago opened in 1996 and has grown to be one of the most cherished Chicago holiday traditions.
