4 MIN READ — Chicago Loop Alliance<\/a> is announcing programming for the fall season under the campaign, Falling for the Loop<\/a>, positioning the month of October as a celebration of arts and culture.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los domingos en State<\/a>, kicks off the monthlong series on October 5; a niche urban planning and design film festival, Better Cities Film Festival<\/a> on October 9-11; LUMA8\u2019s 11th<\/sup> Annual Arts in the Dark Parade on October 18; a new Lurking in the Loop<\/a> bar crawl at 13 Loop bars and restaurants on October 25; and Skeletons on State<\/a>, an interactive display of 19 oversized skeletons showcasing iconic Chicago and Loop institutions from October 1-November 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Better Cities Film Festival is the first Chicago edition of the longstanding Detroit based festival on Thursday, October 9 through Saturday, October 11. The curated lineup includes 30\u00a0films, with nearly a half dozen Chicago made shorts in urbanism; and an opening reception on Friday, October 10 with pre-screening remarks from Chicago filmmakers, Dan Protess and Tom Desch, directors of From Rails to Trails<\/em> and Walkable USA<\/em>, respectively.
