FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | AUG. 24, 2021

CHICAGO—Chicago Loop Alliance is announcing the lineup for the Aug. 29 Sundays on State event, taking place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on State Street from Lake to Madison. Sundays on State is an open streets celebration of arts, culture, active recreation, food, drinks, shopping and more that is free and open to the public. Subsequent Sundays on State events will take place every week through the end of the series: Sept. 5 and 12. Those who register to attend Sundays on State at LoopChicago.com/Sundays will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $1,000 Loop staycation package.

“Sundays on State has been an incredible boon for the Loop neighborhood and the city as a whole,” said Chicago Loop Alliance President and CEO Michael Edwards. “We’re seeing from attendee data, participant data and feedback from State Street businesses that our goals of accelerating the economic recovery of the Loop, uniting the community and creating joy are being accomplished. There are only three events left, and with summer swiftly coming to an end, we’re thrilled to offer this safe, outdoor activity on State Street in everyone’s neighborhood, the Loop.”

The Aug. 29 Sundays on State event will feature about 115 on-street activations throughout the day. These activations were submitted by community members and organizations from all over the Chicagoland area. Aug. 29 will feature the following list of activations, plus even more surprises.
