Chicago Loop Alliance brands State Street as a vibrant, ever-changing visitor destination, attracting media attention and tourism to the district.

Examples include seasonal campaigns that encompass street décor, social media, and other promotions. Partnering with Broadway In Chicago, Choose Chicago, Universal Music Group, and a team of local curators, CLA enhances the pedestrian experience with the sounds and colors of Lightscape: a Multisensory Experience on State Street.

From time to time, CLA also commissions renowned and emerging artists to create dynamic, site-specific public artworks in highly-visible locations throughout State Street. Recent examples include Tony Tasset's massive EYE sculpture in 2010, Kay Rosen's GO DO GOOD in 2011, Jessica Stockholder's Color Jam in 2012, and Nate Otto's Float in 2013.
