City of Chicago's 104th Annual Christmas Tree

Marvel at this glittering tree set among Chicago’s sparkling skyline and the iconic art of Millennium Park. The City of Chicago takes on a special search every year to find the city's official tree - it must have come from a location less than 100 miles from the Chicago Loop! The 104th Anniversary of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place on Friday, November 17 at 6pm and the tree will remain in Millennium Park until January 1, 2018. Admission is completely free!

Die Weihnachtsgurke (Pickle in the Pine) at The Berghoff

The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park kicks off the winter season on Friday, November 17 (weather permitting), on the same day as the 104th Annual Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. The rink will remain open through Sunday, March 4, 2018. Skating is FREE and open to the public, with skate rentals available for $12 Monday-Thursday and $14 Friday-Sunday/Holidays.
