Visit the majestic Oriental Theatre and experience a piece of Chicago history that started as a deluxe movie palace from the roaring twenties! Designers George L. and Cornelius W. Rapp were influenced by the exotic glamour of the far east, which appears vividly into the renovated design of the theatre today. Since the 1998 renovation, the Oriental Theatre has hosted several exciting productions including the premiere of Ragtime, the pre-Broadway premiere of Blast in 2000, and the record-breaking run of critically-acclaimed Broadway show Wicked from 2005 to 2009.
