Request for Proposal

The Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA), sole service provider for Special Service Area #1-2015 State Street, is now accepting bids for the following services:

Arts & Culture Economic Impact Study

Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) is seeking proposals from experienced researchers or consulting firms to conduct an analysis of the economic impact of Chicago Loop-based arts and cultural institutions and their audiences on the Loop economy.

Qualified applicants will have proven experience providing economic impact analyses to economic development organizations, municipalities, other governmental entities, private developers, not‐for‐profits and/or civic organizations.

As part of CLA’s efforts to promote economic development and provide services that benefit businesses, individuals and stakeholders within the Loop, CLA seeks to help its members gain a deeper understanding of the effect the large collection of arts and cultural assets in the area have on the Loop economy.

The results of this analysis will be used to enhance the CLA brand and marketing narrative, provide case-making data to Loop arts and cultural organizations that will improve their position when advocating for public and private sector support, and reposition arts and cultural organizations as economic drivers in the Loop and the City of Chicago. The information will also be used by other Chicago economic development organizations, such as Choose Chicago, World Business Chicago and the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
