This time around I'm speaking with Video Game Art (VGA) Gallery about their plans to transform Sullivan Center Alley. Read on to find out what kind of unique video game art will be showing up (And of course, if you haven't RSVP'd yet, do it online today!)
Curious about what to expect at ACTIVATE next week? I was too - so I spoke with the folks at Connection Art Project, one of two curators we're working with this month, to see how they plan to transform the Sullivan Center alley. Take a look and stay tuned for part 2 with Video Game Art Gallery tomorrow (and don't forget to RSVP online for a free drink at the event!)
Have you seen those old newspaper stands around the Loop? Well, they’re being taken to the next level – and being turned into food kiosks, or as the creators call them, e.a.t. spots, designed to deliver quick, healthy food options to visitors, workers, students, and residents in the Loop.
You may not have known it, but the 19th annual Chicago Artists Month is already underway – officially running from September 27th to October 31st. Featuring over 300 events in the Loop and neighborhoods across the windy city, artists are coming together this month to celebrate the unique artistic spirit of Chicago.
Good news for Loop workers: the end is near for the noise and dust on State Street. Paving work is expected to begin at 7:00 PM next Tuesday, September 23rd, and is scheduled to finish by Thursday, September 25th. Pavement marking will occur the following Monday and is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, October 2nd at 5:00 AM.
